As time passes, changes in technology is requiring increased security especially within applications designed for connecting to and using the Web or Internet. The prolific use of Web Browsers by most computer users has resulted in close attention to transitioning them to become more secure. Unfortunately, increasing security usually results in older software applications and hardware devices "breaking" and not being able to function as they were originally designed to function.


A recent problem for a client using a 10-year-old NAS device created problems in not being able to access the web interface to allow management of the NAS device using the current Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. It turns out that an older version of the Firefox browser had to be used in order to access the web interface login page.
